Photo Editing Made Easy

What do you like about Pixlr?

I used Pixlr, at first, for making collages, stylish image selections. It's great for this. I might seem kind of basic, but there weren't great or flexible options out there when I first tried to find a solution to my collae issues!

I now use it for photo-editing too. Along with Canva - which I use for graphic design purposes - it's my most used piece of online software, simple and sweet and, for the basics - which is all I really need - free.

What do you dislike about Pixlr?

I've sometimes wondered if importing it onto my browser bar has slowed things down. I don't think it has... In any case, you can simply visit the site and edit in the cloud there with no need to place it on the browser.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Pixlr solve?

Without photoshop I've always been limited. I don't say I can use Pixlr in the same way a professional uses Photoshop, but it has given me much freedom to fix images ASAP at no cost. I wholly recommend it.

I was using Pixlr for a long time until I re-discovered Gimp. The good part about Pixlr is that it lives in your browser (which really can be quite an advantage), but if you want something more robust I would suggest Gimp at least, or if you can afford it Photoshop. Although Pixlr is simpler to learn, there are not as many resources & discussions about it online as for Photoshop, but because it's free, it definitely gets a decent star rating!

My go-to for all my editing now. I have it on all my devices and even edit my photos in the Chrome app before posting them! Love Pixlr.
It is easy to use, includes numerous filters and editing features (quite extensive if that takes your fancy), and makes it easy to share via the app to any number of social media apps.
