Just What We Needed

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

Very easy interface and packed with extra features, such as encryption and compression, which we never thought of during our research.

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

We have no problems with it. We were using it almost immediately after watching a few short Youtube videos.

What have you been using it for and what problems did CloudBerry Backup solve?

We've always taken data backup warnings with a grain of salt. But after a catastrophic hardware failure, we were looking for some automation software for Amazon Glazier cloud backups. Extensive research led us to Cloudberry Backup which fit our needs perfectly.

A fantastic backup solution with excellent cloud integration

// Operations Control, Data Center Operations at Ontario Treasury Board Secretariat

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

Cloudberry is my go to application that gets me both on premise and cloud based backups through a single application. Cloudberry gives you full control over your security by allowing you to maintain control of your encryption keys which is important from a security standpoint. It also integrates extremely well with all major cloud providers to easily get your data secured and stored offsite to help protect yourself in the event of a major disaster (fire, flood, theft) etc. The level of control over the backup settings need nothing wanting, and best of all, unlike some of its competitors, its incredibly easy and intuitive to figure out, with only moderate knowledge of cloud security you will be up and running in no time.

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

Nothing to report here! Cloudberry does everything that I've required of it and more.

What have you been using it for and what problems did CloudBerry Backup solve?

I use cloudberry to keep my most critical data secure through offsite, encrypted backups. I rest assured knowing I am protected from any kind of outage, not just physical hard drive issues but also theft, fires, floods or other disasters. Having my data in Backblaze B2 means I don't have to worry about unreadable tapes or malfunctioning disks at time of restore. Its a great feeling knowing you are protected.

Works perfectly!

// Nick Nichols, Branding & Positioning Expert Helps You Attract, Engage & Sell to Pre-Qualified Buyers at Dalfort Media

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

I tried other Windows desktop backup options but none worked. Had used CB S3 browser before and tried the backup pro. Works perfectly and highly recommended.

Unlike other solutions I have tried, Cloudberry Backup is easy to use. Inexpensive to buy. The interface is very intuitive.

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

Nothing so far. Have not used the restore/retrieval function but I expect that it will work.

Very Useful Backup Solution

// Consultant and Project Manager at Enetpromote.com

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

Really useful back-up solution and works well with AWS . Cloudberry Backup works very well with lots of cloud services such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. CloudBerry Backup has disaster recovery to virtual machines

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

still trying to figure that out . No centralized management. Backup software with no service component. Additional server options are pricey.

Interesting product with tons of options

// Sr. Network Engineer at Remote Support Solutions

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

This software has a ton of advanced options meant for someone familiar with IT. The freeware version is pretty great by itself, and cloud backups using your own Amazon S3 or other cloud storage services is so much cheaper than the services bundled with most other backup software subscriptions.

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

The UI could use some work. Not all options are explained terribly well, but the power that comes with those options is exceptional.

Easy to manage backup

// Software Engineer at Larus Technologies

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

The tool works well for sending backups to the cloud or local + cloud, and you can also schedule tests of the backups.

The backup itself has everything you'd want for files: compression, encryption, scheduling, retention policy, and incremental backup. If your connection cuts out or your machine reboots part-way through a backup, you can simply resume it. The software handles cleaning up the partial bits.

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

The instructions for creating the appropriate permissions on the cloud providers could be clearer. I had to search for (slightly outdated) videos as to how to set up Azure.

The vendor is giving discounts for reviews (including this one).

What have you been using it for and what problems did CloudBerry Backup solve?

I only tried file backup to local+Azure and to Azure alone. The backup was made against approximately 200GB of data, with files ranging from little index files in source control to multi-gigabyte drive image backups.

Great flexible product with great value to your price

// Cyberbit Range Simulator Instructor at Ariel University

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

I love the product's flexibility with multiple cloud storage options, multiple restore options, pre/post actions for backup (very nice for laptops which need to check for example if i connected to my home wifi before an attempt is made to backup to my NAS storage).
Very good security with end to end encryption and compression options.
Over all you will get a great value for your money.

Pros:
- Great value for your money. For so much options you don't pay a lot.
- Flexible! Great options for backup and restore just as you like.
- Multiple Cloud providers
- Security implemented well (According to Steve Gibson on Security Now).

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

Although there are many options for cloud providers, i still would love to see more options of home user cloud providers such as Mega, Pcloud etc.
It's nice that the company's focus is on professional cloud providers, but i think that for the Desktop version it could be great if the home users have more personal user cloud choises.

What have you been using it for and what problems did CloudBerry Backup solve?

Mostly for image backup, but also for files.
I was looking for a good snapshot (block level) image backup that i can easily encrypt, compress and store on multiple backend options (such as NAS and cloud).

CloudBerry desktop

// administrador at corinsur s.l.

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

I like its simplicity and ease of use. also its speed and scalability, another thing that I like is its user interface well organized and transparent to the user.

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

In principle they should implement it as a service or if it were optional, when the system should be loaded, minimized and transparent to the user, I use it for my real-time client with amazon s3, I do not see any more updates I can suggest.

// IT Manager at CGI

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

I like a lot of the cloud integration capability, it's very easy to maintain a local backup as well a backup in the cloud (in my case in Glacier)
The restore features is very useful as well, is very easy to find a file ans restore it.
I'm using the free version until now, and you can use a plenty of features.

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

I'm using the product for a short time for personal backup and I liking the product so far. I wish I could used the compact function on the free version but it's available only on the paid version.

What have you been using it for and what problems did CloudBerry Backup solve?

For me is important to make a local backup but at the same time I need to have a cloud backup for an extreme loss situation. The software have a feature to do that automatically

Great cloud backup

// Titolare at Studio Ingegneria Mariacci

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

I'm a refugee from CrashPlan. I like that I can choose my storage provider for backups and can easily backup to more than one online storage providers. While this review is for the non-profit with a Windows desktop client I would not have used CloudBerry if they didn't also have a Linux client (which I use on my personal computers)

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

Easy to setup, multi location backup

// Knowledge Management Content Administrator at Telstra

What do you like about CloudBerry Backup?

I have only been using it a short time, but it has been easy to set up and crate both a local backup to a NAS and an online backup to OneDrive.

It had a simple wizard which asked the relevant questions, and was set up in less than 5 minutes.

The ransomware protection also seems to be a great idea, and will protect my Documents from being encrypted.

What do you dislike about CloudBerry Backup?

There are a lot of settings and it doesn't always explain them well. Some popups next to the options would help.

What have you been using it for and what problems did CloudBerry Backup solve?

I needed a way to create bootable backup on local storage with a version uploaded to the cloud to ensure maximum protection from drive failures.
